I am so glad you stated that this country is becoming hitler's nazi germany. We are not at that point but we are on the road to it. While perceived enemies are not killed, they are assassinated by words. This country needs to wake up to the fact that the mentality for Hitler's Nazi Germany is in the white house and this administration.. I fully expect this administration to just declare the constitution (what's left of it) null and void. they are taking over, cleaning house of all traitors(democrats). I run a spa salon and i hear this all the time, the fear of being in Nazi country and no place to run. We live 5 miles from the mexican border and will run if we have to. Quite a number of our customers are leaving to live in Costa Rica. I will not have the religion that bush will forced upon us, shoved down my throat.

a little story: My husband and lived in lynchburg. my husband knows Jerry Falwell. My husband is not a Falwell supporter. Falwell goes to a certain restaurant, the landmark. Liberty university students are forbidden to go there. My husband was in the landmark at a table next to falwell's(they sat back to back). Falwell was speaking to group of out of town guests. He stated the whatever party that lost the next election, they were going to take it over, put their people in high places in the government and take this country back to god. That overheard conversation was just before the 1996 prez election. Look how far they have come since 1996. Read Harper's Magazine articles soldiers of Christ 1 and 2. I have friends and their family members who have or know someone who has gone to liberty university. They left because of the veiled hatred preached of non-their brand of Christianity. This country and the direction it is going is terrifying than any terrorist threat.

I have just blocked all news channels on our sattelite and written to each one that I am no longer listening to them and boycotting their sponsors until the lying stops and real news starts. I urge everyone to do this. one more thing that really bugs me is the term spinning. It is meant to deceive all those listening, therefore it is a damn lie.

Dear Mrs. Munson:
Thank you for your support and the story. Know that there are many out there who think and feel as you do. You're right - religion's use of the power of the state is dangerous. That is why our founders decreed a separation of church and state. So that all can worship or not as they please.

I, too, seldom watch television because of the drivel therein. I rely on the internet. That is the one thing that the government cannot control.

The religious-types might be in charge for now, but it is not too late. If things continue to go poorly for them, the people might wake up and boot them out of office.
